Welcome to the iVillage Postpartum Depression Board Website!

If you or a loved one are suffering with a Postpartum Emergency,
please call 911 or go to your local ER immediately.

Becoming a parent is exciting, but it also means adapting to a big life-change. It's easy to feel unprepared, overwhelmed, and even scared. For some families, this means a journey down the dark road of Postpartum Depression, no matter what disorder with which they may suffer.

Our purpose is to educate and support moms & families facing Postpartum Depression every day. They are not alone and they are not to blame. They will be well with help.

Our goal is to help parents with such feelings. We will be gathering survivor stories to share - moms and dads alike are welcome to submit their stories of their journeys. Dads stories are especially important as they are often forgotten in the Postpartum experience but are certainly affected. Links to other postpartum resources on the web as well as a list of books will be maintained for postpartum families to turn to in their time of need.

Postpartum Words of Wisdom...

  • You are NOT alone.
  • You are NOT to blame.
  • You WILL be well with help.
